Does LensCrunch Pro need an internet connection?

No. It is a single HTML file that runs in the browser and makes no network requests, so customer records, the price list and the app itself all stay on your computer.

Is LensCrunch Pro a fitting tool?

No. It computes optical geometry and the dispenser's own costs and margins, including prism decentration and vertex distance. It does not recommend what to dispense: the prism and base are entered from the prescription, and a vertex distance conversion says what power is needed at that plane, not whether it suits the wearer. The geometry model is valid to about plus or minus 14.00 D.

How much does LensCrunch Pro cost?

US$29 as a one-time payment. It is not a subscription: there is no account, nothing to cancel and no per-report charge. Updates published later are free to existing buyers.

LensCrunch Pro — the dispensing report builder

A prescription, a frame and your own price list go in. Out comes a branded A4 report you can hand to the customer — and a shop copy with your cost and margin. One file, runs offline on your own computer, no account, no subscription.

What it does

Prescription and frame. Both eyes separately — SPH, CYL, AXIS and a per-eye PD — with a "same for both eyes" shortcut when they match, plus the frame's eyesize A, bridge DBL and lens height B.
Every material, both meridians. The same optical engine the free tools use, with your price list attached: edge thickness horizontally and vertically, centre thickness, weight, Abbe value, cost, retail and margin for each material you carry.
Prism. Enter the prism and base as the prescription writes it. It works out the decentration that produces it, then reports what that does to the lens: which edge becomes the thick one, the thick and thin edge thicknesses, and how much of the blank's extra thickness is the prism. When the power in the base meridian is too weak for decentring, it says so instead of inventing a number.
Vertex distance. What the same prescription needs at a different distance from the eye, per eye, per meridian — and whether the difference is big enough to matter. Arithmetic on the prescription as written, with no view on whether that distance suits anyone.
Your price list, entered once. Blank cost and — if you have one — your own retail price per material, coating/tint/edge-polish add-ons, fitting and glazing, and whichever pricing rule you actually use: target margin or markup, plus tax if you charge it.
The report. Your logo, shop name and accent colour, the prescription, the frame, the recommended lens with the numbers behind it, the options compared side by side, an itemised quote and your own terms. Print to PDF from the browser. Tick "shop copy" and the same sheet carries cost, margin and margin % for your eyes only.

What you get

One HTML file — about 55 KB. Double-click it. No installer, no account, no login.
Runs offline. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no server to be down. Data and wifi stay out of it.
Your customers' details stay on your machine in the browser's local storage. The app never makes a network request, and we never see a prescription of yours.
Report numbers in a per-day sequence (LC-260929-001), saved customer records, and Export/Import JSON so your records are yours and portable.
English or Chinese, one switch for the interface and the printed sheet — useful if you dispense for both.

What happens to my customers' prescriptions and my price list?

They stay on your computer, in your browser's local storage. The app makes no network requests at all. See the privacy policy.

Is this a fitting tool?

No, and it does not pretend to be. It does optical geometry and your own arithmetic — thickness, weight, prism decentration, vertex distance, cost, margin. What it will not do is tell you what to dispense: the prism and the base are the ones you type in, a vertex distance tells you what power is needed there and not whether that distance is suitable, and nothing here replaces your own judgement or your lab's. The geometry model is good to about ±14.00 D; outside that it says the answer is out of range instead of guessing.

Can I use one copy for my shop?

Yes — the licence covers use in your own business, including on the shop's computer, and handing the reports to your customers. It does not cover passing the file on to other businesses. See the terms.

Will it work on my computer?

Because there is no refund for a change of mind, ask before you buy if anything is unclear. Anything with a modern browser: Windows, macOS or Linux, Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Safari on macOS blocks local storage when you open a file from the desktop — the app warns you if it does, and Chrome, Edge and Firefox are fine. Print to PDF uses your browser's own print dialog, so Chinese names and characters print correctly.
