Privacy Policy

This site collects as little as a website can. There is no account to create, no cookie we set, no advertising, no tracker, and nothing you type into a tool is sent anywhere.

Who is responsible

LensCrunch is operated by Liu Guohua, an individual seller, who is the data controller for anything described below. Contact for any privacy question or request: hello@lenscrunch.com.

What is collected, and why

Purchase details if you buy LensCrunch Pro: name, email, country, order and payment details.	To take payment, deliver the file, handle tax and receipts, and support you afterwards.	Our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and collects the payment information directly. We receive your name, email and order, never your card details.
Server and security logs kept by our host, Cloudflare, as part of serving the site.	To keep the site online and stop abuse.	Cloudflare, for us. We do not keep our own copy.

What is not collected

• No account, no signup, no password, no profile.
• No advertising, no ad networks, no remarketing, no data sold or shared for marketing.
• No third-party analytics beyond the aggregate counter above — no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no session recording, no heatmaps.
• No cookie set by this site. The analytics we use is cookieless and does not fingerprint your device, does not track you across other sites, and cannot be used to identify you.
• Nothing you type into a tool. Prescriptions, PDs, frame measurements and results are computed in your browser and are never transmitted.

LensCrunch Pro keeps everything on your own computer

The app is a single file that runs in your browser. Your price list, customer records, your logo and every report you build are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. The app makes no network requests at all — no telemetry, no update check, no licence call. Because we never receive that data, we cannot read it, and we cannot restore or delete it for you either: the Export feature gives you a JSON file that is entirely yours.

How long things are kept

• Analytics: aggregate counters, kept on Cloudflare's retention schedule, not indefinitely and not linked to you.
• Emails: as long as needed to deal with the request and keep a record of it. Ask us to delete the thread and we will.
• Purchase records: our payment provider keeps the transaction and tax records for as long as the law requires; ask us to delete the order data we hold and we will, except for whatever has to be retained for tax.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, the EU, Switzerland or another jurisdiction with similar law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to receive it in a portable form. If you are in California, you have the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of. Email hello@lenscrunch.com and we will act on it; you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is aimed at adults — people choosing glasses and the professionals who dispense them. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because there is no account and no database of your inputs, there is no store of your prescriptions to breach — that is a deliberate part of the design.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
